Scotiabank Champions Culture and Education Through Junior Junkanoo Sponsorship
New Providence, Bahamas – January 21, 2025 - Scotiabank, in partnership with Mastercard, has again announced its support for Junkanoo, one of the nation’s most vibrant and cherished cultural traditions. As a supporter of the event for the second year, Scotiabank recognizes the importance of cultural expression, civic pride and the empowerment of future generations.
Aligned with the Bank’s commitment to foster growth and opportunity, several initiatives to cement its dedication to the participants of Junior Junkanoo will be unveiled. Through Scotiabank’s Junior Savings Accounts, 100 eligible students who open accounts during January 22 and February 28 will receive $50 towards their opening balance.
Participating schools will also have the chance to win the popular vote for the top school based on costume design and choreography. Schools will be selected via votes received on the Bank’s official Instagram page, schools can also expect to receive trophies and other surprises.
