Scotiabank Hosts AERO Platinum MasterCard Reception

Couple Wins Travel Voucher

Nassau, The Bahamas, March 3, 2016 – Scotiabank recently hosted a private reception for clients and prospects to highlight its AERO Platinum MasterCard and associated benefits.

The AERO Rewards programme is Scotiabank's first proprietary Travel Rewards programme. It provides cardholders automatic enrolment in the elite Scotiabank AERO Rewards programme where they can earn ScotiaPoints on all credit card purchases and redeem them for travel benefits including: flights, hotels, car rentals and cruise packages.

Attendees had an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of popular landmarks around the world during a trivia-styled competition. Denver and LoAnn Johnson emerged as the winners, receiving a $500 travel voucher courtesy of Going Places Travel and Scotiabank to assist with their next vacation.

"The Scotiabank AERO Platinum MasterCard credit card gives you unparalleled freedom to travel your way, including the flexibility to fly anywhere, anytime on any airline you wish, with no blackout periods, no seat restrictions and no expiry date on your rewards," said Dwight Burrows, Director of Retail Banking, Scotiabank.

"You'll also enjoy worldwide travel assistance and insurance, exclusive Platinum MasterCard features and much more – all backed by the experience of Scotiabank, one of the world's finest financial institutions," Burrows continued.

Customers earn one ScotiaPoint for every USD $1 spent on the primary cardholder account and on any additional cards issued with 3,000 bonus ScotiaPoints issued when the first purchase is made. For a limited time, now until March 15, 2016, cardholders receive a Welcome Bonus of up to 10,000 ScotiaPoints.

The travel themed reception featured foods from various continents with Scotiabank representatives adorned in pilot hats. Representatives from Going Places Travel were on hand during the evening to consult on destination and other travel options.
