Make an appointment

Need to open a Deposit Account?

Effective January 4, 2022, account opening will be conducted on an appointment-only basis.
To book an appointment, please contact our Contact Centre at 242-356-1697 or via email at customercare-bahamas@scotiabank.com.

Identification

Provide ONE  piece of government-issued ID, with photograph and signature:

  • Passport
  • Driver's licence
  • Military ID card
  • National Insurance Board Card

Secondary ID:

One secondary piece of identification

Any additional Government Issued ID such as:

  • Voter’s Card or Birth Certificate 
  • Residency Permit (if applicable), e.g. Work Permit, Permit to Reside, Spousal Permit, Permanent Resident, etc.

Proof of contact

Any two of the following:

  • Telephone Number, e.g. Mobile, Home Phone, etc.
  • Proof of Address e.g. Recent Utility Bill, Bank account statement or Copy of lease or letter from landlord
  • Valid Email Address

If you are a non-resident customer, a reference letter or a current account statement from a reputable bank is required.

Account opening requirements for a minor

If you are opening an account for a minor, you must be the child’s Parent or Legal Guardian. Therefore, please note the following:

  • The child’s birth certificate is required along with a valid Passport.
  • Legal Guardians are required to present proof of guardianship.
  • Parents and Legal Guardians are required to satisfy identification requirements.
